Lana Rak wins 1st place at 2009 Telluride Plein Air festival quickdraw

Lana Rak was recognized by Sheridan Arts Foundation as the 1st place winner at Telluride Plein Air festival quickdraw competition in Telluride, Colorado.
From a late 1800's mining town to 21st century ski town, Telluride is a charming town that has developed a rich history for itself over the past 100 years.
This year, 2009 Telluride Plein Air festival gathered a select group of 30 nationally recognized Plein Air artists who came to town to the annual festival organized by Sheridan Arts Foundation Artist Choice Gala Premiere, Silent Auction and Wine Reception culminated the very successful vestival this year, both for artists and art collectors.
"I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Telluride. The festival was a great success and was very well organized.", says Lana Rak.
About Lana Rak
Lana studied art at the Republican School of Art of Schevchenko in Kiev, Ukraine, Langara College in Vancouver, Canada and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she received her MFA. Lana lives in Fremont, California.
